Louie was a founding member of Custom Neon, but left the band 2005 to pursue other adventures. Here's a bit more about Louie: Louie was very musically aware as a kid in the 1970s thanks to his family. Louie recalled: "As far back as I can remember, there was always music being played in my house. I was very musically aware, thanks to everyone in my family. Some of my earliest memories include my parents, uncles, and aunts playing Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan, Jackson Browne, Little Feet, Steely Dan, and ELO records." Louie also gained an appreciation for 60's rock-n-roll through his parents albums of the Stones, Beatles, CCR, The Who, etc. Louie began playing music as a youngster. His father bought him a guitar, and he took lessons from a stringed-instrument bluegrass veteran. His instructor put together a bluegrass combo with his favorite pupils, and it was during that period that Louie got his first taste of live performance. In his teens, Louie started playing ‘60’s songs on acoustic guitar and his interest in music from the ‘60’s was solidified. Before Custom Neon, Louie played music which was usually centered around the acoustic guitar. When Custom Neon formed, Louie further developed his skills on electric guitar too. One of Louie's seminal musical influences is Jackson Browne. During Louie's tenure with Custom Neon, the band covered Running on Empty which featured Louie's vocals and lap-steel slide guitar playing. Listen to Louie: File-size: 0.5mb
